NACHO
(the National Association of Credit Hire Operators) is the professional organisation representing the vehicle credit hire industry.

It was formed in 2002 to provide a collective and unified voice to represent the interests of its members to the insurance industry and other third parties.

Since its inception, NACHO has made great progress in forming strong links with the ABI (Association of British Insurers) and SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders), and with the key members of government, the insurance industry generally, the media, and relevant trade organisations.

These initiatives are providing much-needed stability within the industry and are removing the need for constant litigation in order to recover unpaid hire accounts.

NACHO has thus been accepted by the insurance industry as the main responsible voice to such an extent that it is acknowledged as a key member of the Focus Group that deals with any changes to the GTA (General Terms of Agreement).

It is also the intention that NACHO, with the backing of its members, should become an integral element in all future developments that might affect the accident management industry in the UK.

NACHO membership is open to all credit hire operators in the UK, regardless of whether they are national or regional.

Associated membership is open to firms having a peripheral but relevant connection with the credit hire industry.
